VPN (Virtual Private Network)¶
VPN (Virtual Private Network) technology lets a computer using a public Internet connection join a private network by way of a secure “tunnel” between that machine and the network.

All the traffic gets routed through the VPN tunnel when you are connected, so you can access online scientific journals and intranet when you work from home.
