Shared folders

There are several network folders available for storing your data and sharing between your group provided by our infrastructure. To access those folders you need to mount them as a network folder(s) in your operating system or use web interface / mobile application.

You will need the connection parameters and your credentials.

List of folders

Each user has access to the following shares:

Share name	Description
isbb	Virtual share which displays a list of sub-folders you can access.
attendance	Attendance records share.
private	Your private folder.
shared	Shared folder. Every user of the system has access to it. Use it for quick sharing with another users. Warning: This folder is not included in the backup procedure and is cleaned periodically.
projects	Projects share.
sowa	(legacy) Virtual share which displays a list of sub-folders you can access.

Based on your role in you may have access to more folders which are not listed here. You should have the complete list in your email box, if not, please contact support.

The network folders are periodically backed up (except the shared folder).

Note

The network folders are available using Service Message Block (SMB) protocol which allows the data transfers to be secure by encrypting data in-flight (Requires Windows 8+).

Web Interface

The web interface to shared folders is available at https://data.upbb.cas.cz or https://data.soilwater.eu. (legacy)

Hint

You have to login using the same credentials for network folders.

The system is running Nextcloud application which is an open-source project. It’s user manual is available at Nextcloud Manual website.

Mobile application

You can access the data using your mobile phone.

• If you have Android install it from: Google Play.

• If you have iOS install it from: Apple iTunes.

• If you have other OS, you are out of luck :(
